Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a House Supervisor-Registered Nurse (RN) for night shifts at Austin Oaks Hospital in South Austin, Texas. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring safe patient care, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing program degree, Texas (or compact state) licensure, and 1–3 years of psychiatric nursing with supervisory experience. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas (or licensed in a compact state).
• 1-3 yrs psychiatric nursing experience with 1 year supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with staff supervision.
• Monitors patient care and unit processes to assure a safe customer focused approach.
• Maintains high levels of clinical competency and performance standards.
• Monitors educational needs of staff and assists with on-going staff development opportunities.
• Manages scheduling and staffing.
• Monitors daily documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
• Participates in facility committees; conducts and documents incident investigations.
• Involved in counseling and evaluating department staff.
• Provide nursing care for psychiatric patients using the nursing process.
