Job summary

Majestic Care of Whitehall is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor, RN to oversee a nursing unit in a long-term care community. You will direct care team functions, participate in meetings, and ensure high-quality resident care.

The role requires RN licensure in the state, a valid CPR certificate (preferred), and at least three years of nursing experience including LTC exposure. You will collaborate with physicians and manage staffing and procedures to maintain standards.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an RN in the state employed; license active, valid and in good standing.
• CPR teaching certificate preferred, but not required.
• Must hold an active CPR license or obtain within the first 30 days of employment; license kept current.
• Three years of nursing experience, including one year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Perform general management functions such as hiring, disciplining, and evaluating care team members.
• Plan and facilitate meetings and committees to address resident care issues for the unit.
• Manage area of responsibility to achieve highest quality of care.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate programs for recruitment, retention, development, and continuing education of nursing staff.
• Coordinate with physicians to ensure timely interventions.
• Review staffing patterns and census; reassign personnel to meet resident needs and budget controls.
• Monitor unit operations and residents’ conditions to ensure quality care.
• Obtain medications, supplies and medical records for safe, efficient care.
• Assist in orientation of new personnel and supervise skills.
