Job summary

Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista in Southern San Diego County is seeking a full-time RN for the Stepdown Unit on the night shift. This 12-hour night position offers a supportive team environment and opportunities for professional growth within Scripps Health.

Responsibilities include caring for step-down and telemetry patients, performing peritoneal dialysis, and creating individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians. Eligible for new hire incentives up to $7k.

Qualifications

• At least one year of RN experience.
• Current CA Registered Nurse License.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to Step-Down, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical patients with a range of conditions.
• Provide Peritoneal dialysis treatments and administration.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, physical exams, and recorded vital signs with timely and accurate documentation.
• Develop personalized nursing care plans and efficiently delegated patient care activities; collaborate with physicians to report patient progress and communicate critical or abnormal findings.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, mentoring new staff, and communicating effectively with patients and families to ensure compassionate, high-quality care.
