Job summary

Butler Hospital, part of Care New England Health System, is seeking a Staff Nurse for night shifts in Providence, RI. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered, payable in two installments at 6 months and 12 months of employment.

The nurse will participate in treatment planning, coordinate care, manage emergencies, and support discharge planning, while serving as Charge Nurse during the shift. BSN preferred and RI nursing license required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RI nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Graduate of accredited nursing program
