Trinity Health Corp. in Brighton, MI seeks a part-time Registered Nurse for the 7:00 PM–7:00 AM Short Stay Unit. The role focuses on post-surgical observation, coordinating tests, and patient discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from a school of nursing with eligibility to sit for the NCLEX to become a licensed RN in Michigan. BSN preferred.
• Licensure: Current Michigan RN license (or eligibility).
• BLS certification.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency departments.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Policy: BSN within five years of hire/transfer to an RN role.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Uses teach back methodology to educate patient and family.
• Actively seeks to prevent potential hospital‑acquired infections.
• Effectively communicates patient status, priority goals and interventions during consultations, rounds and handoffs.
• Follows all HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Behaves in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals.
