Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System is seeking a night shift, full-time Renal Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in Tulsa, OK. The role emphasizes patient care, documentation, and adherence to Oklahoma nursing standards in a high-demand Med Surg unit.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for diverse adult patients, ensuring age-appropriate care and accurate data interpretation. A valid OK license and BLS within 14 days are required to commence patient care.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.
• Current valid OK or Multistate RN License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
