Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, North Carolina, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the 12-bed Progressive Care/Telemetry unit. The role requires night shifts on a 3x12 schedule (7p–7a) with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and weekend/holiday coverage.

NC or compact-state RN licensure is required, with BLS, ACLS, and PALS to be completed within stated timelines. Prior experience in a similar setting is preferred and highly valued.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (or compact state).
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• AHA BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely documentation of medical necessity in the record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
