Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking an RN for the Postpartum/Nursery Unit, a premier Level III unit with 24/7 neonatology support and family-centered care. 41 newly renovated private rooms provide comfort for new mothers and their newborns.

This role requires providing direct nursing care, implementing care plans, monitoring patient conditions, coordinating discharges, and patient education. Night shifts run from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification within one year of hire.
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families with materials considering cultural issues.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing protocol.
