Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland is recruiting an RN for the Family Birth Place/LDRP. The role involves caring for mothers and newborns, managing labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care, with on-call nights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and weekend/holiday requirements.

You will deliver direct nursing care, educate families, and participate in discharge planning within a Magnet Hospital setting recognized for professional nursing excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state RN licensure
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• ACLS/ALS certification if in Critical Care upon hire or within first year
• One year of acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs
• Educate patients and their families
