Job summary

ScionHealth in Baldwin Park, CA seeks an RN to plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will coordinate with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams, assist in discharge planning and ensure patient safety throughout shifts.

The role requires current RN licensure, BCLS, and preferred ACLS. Expect to work in a physician-led acute care setting with emphasis on compassionate, evidence-based nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary nursing certificate, diploma, or program graduation.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license in state; BCLS required upon hire.
• ACLS preferred upon hire.
• Six months Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
• Develop and update patient care plans in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff.
• Administer medications following the five rights and document accordingly.
• Support discharge planning and communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing supervisor/manager and other departments to ensure safe, effective care.
