The Elizabeth Levinson Center in Bangor has a full time night opening for a Registered Nurse. This opportunity allows the RN to provide comprehensive nursing care to children and young adults with intellectual disabilities while working with low nurse-to-resident ratios and a supportive staff.

Qualifications

• State of Maine RN licensure required.
• Driver license and reliable transportation required.
• Vaccinations and TB test completed; immunities to MMR, varicella, Hepatitis-B verified.

Responsibilities

• Insure maintenance of all medical records per state and federal guidelines.
• Knowledge of all medications for all individuals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician.
• Generate incident, seizure, and illness reports.
• Monitor and report health care on daily flow report records.
• Coordinate laboratory care.
• Coordinate medical appointments (routine, fees, special and emergency).
• Participate in supervision and in-service training of direct care staff.
