Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a registered nurse for full-time night shifts in the United States. The role requires an RN license, an Associate degree (Bachelor’s preferred), and 1+ year of hospital/acute care experience.

Qualifications

• RN with current license and BLS certification.
• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ year hospital/acute care experience preferred; RN experience required.
• Ability to perform wound care, IV therapy, catheterization, and related nursing procedures.
• Strong patient assessment and care planning skills.
• Ability to collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, gathering history and vital signs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with SMART goals.
• Administer medications and treatments including IV therapy and wound care.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge plans.
• Advocate for patient safety and rights within the care team.
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Document care activities accurately in medical records.
• Ensure safe care and effective communication across shifts.
