Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc seeks a dedicated registered nurse to provide patient- and family-centered care in a comprehensive hospital setting. You will develop care plans with patients and designated partners, and collaborate with the care team to address physical, psychological, and social needs within cultural contexts.

You will apply evidence-based practice, participate in safety and quality initiatives, and educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge

Qualifications

• Specialized nursing diploma required for the role.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care and cultural sensitivity.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Registered Nurse license in New Jersey is required.
• Understanding discharge planning and post-discharge needs.
• Familiarity with health information documentation and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, families and staff in a respectful manner.
• Apply evidence-based practice to deliver high-quality care.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and meds.
• Minimize risk by following nursing protocols and standards.
• Use IT to communicate, document, and support care decisions.
