Job summary

South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse for the Med Surg Floats team. Location: LOC0001 - 55 Fogg Road Weymouth, MA 02190. This full-time role offers a salary range of $39.50 to $84.02 per hour and a 36-hour budgeted week.

You will assess and reassess patient needs, develop plans of care, administer medications, and uphold safety and patient advocacy. Night shift hours require strong teamwork and clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Assess and diagnose patient and family needs to provide quality care.
• Develop, discuss and communicate plan of care with the patient and care team.
• Administer medications following SSH policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and adherence to infection control.
• Pursue ongoing professional development (minimum 5 contact hours/year).

Responsibilities

• Initiating admission assessment within 8 hours of admission and document teaching needs.
• Develop, evaluate and update individualized plan of care for patients.
• Facilitate discharge/transfers by goal of 12:00 pm and communicate barriers.
• Document patient care following nursing policies and indicators.
• Assess patient's comfort and responses to interventions and therapies.
• Maintain SBAR handoff and effective communication with care teams.
