Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) PRN III for Nights in the Gynecology/Antepartum Unit. Work location is Texas Health HEB, Bedford, TX. Per diem nights 7p–7a with specified shift requirements and opportunities for self-scheduling.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma with RN on hire, BCLS, NRP within 90 days, CPI within 90 days, and 1 year of RN experience or RN residency. Gynecology/Antepartum experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
• 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
• 1 year of Gynecology / Antepartum or Women's experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
