Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX is seeking a NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN Level III night shifts. The role requires NICU experience, an RN license, and BCLS/NRP/NRPA/CPI training within defined timelines.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred) and a minimum of 1 year of RN experience. Per diem scheduling includes 7 pm-7 am shifts with specific weekend/holiday requirements.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days of hire
NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation within 90 days of hire
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
1 year experience as a Registered Nurse required
Current NICU experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
