Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit on the night shift (approximately 7pm–7am). The role focuses on admitting patients, medication administration, and family communications on a busy 24-bed unit.

Qualifications

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN license in good standing
• RN diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Responsibilities

• Assessing/admitting patients on the observation unit
• Perform rounding checks and administer medications
• Communicate with patients’ family members and care teams
• Provide overall care and support to patients and monitor progress
• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure high-quality patient care

Education

RN Diploma/ASN/BSN/MSN from accredited school

Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN license in good standing
