Job summary

SNF Rehab & Healthcare in New Jersey seeks an RN Nursing Supervisor for the 7pm–7am shift. Lead nursing units, coordinate staff, and ensure high-quality resident care in a long-term care setting.

Role requires a registered nurse with leadership experience, knowledge of nursing practices, and the ability to respond swiftly in emergencies. Include supervision duties, training, and adherence to policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN license in NJ.
• Experience supervising nursing staff in long-term care or hospital settings.
• Ability to coordinate and supervise nursing functions and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Verifies daily staffing and redistribution; coordinates with charge nurses.
• Collaborates with charge nurses to discuss resident care, admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Makes rounds to assess residents’ condition, with focus on critically ill patients.
• Ensures that each resident’s care plan is followed and updated as needed.
• Performs medication passes and direct resident care when required.
• Participates in resident care committee meetings and quality initiatives.
• Reinforces training and orientation of nursing personnel; provides feedback.
• Responds to emergencies during shift and maintains safety protocols.
• Maintains sanitary environment and building security during evening/night hours.
• Reviews incident reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitors meals and nutrition; supports resident dietary needs.
• Participates in quality improvement programs and ensures compassionate care.
• Liaises with families and ensures residents’ rights and needs are respected.
• Performs other duties as requested.
