Job summary

McLean Hospital is seeking a split night nurse for the Older Adult Unit and Neuropsychiatry Unit at 115 Mill Street, Belmont, MA. This regular, night-shift role covers 32 hours per week and requires RN licensure.

Utilizing the nursing process, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and support recovery goals in a dementia/cognitive impairment specialty program.

Qualifications

• RN with state license.
• 1 year medical/psychiatric experience preferred.
• Ability to use the nursing process and to work collaboratively.
• MR safety certification.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented framework.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs accurately.
• Plan and implement nursing interventions for assigned patients.
• Lead patient groups and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Ensure safe, timely medication administration and charting.
• Communicate patients' clinical status at rounds and handoffs.
• Document responses to treatment and care outcomes.
