Job summary

The Neuropsychiatry Unit (SB2) at McLean Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is hiring an RN for an overnight, full-time position. The role provides immediate and long-term nursing care, using the nursing process and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include medication administration with BMV scanning, patient assessments, care planning, group participation, and ensuring patient privacy. A valid RN license and MR safety certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to utilize the nursing process and to work collaboratively.
• MR safety certification.
• Standard blood draw procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• All employees must possess basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to provide immediate and long-term care.
• Performs point of care testing and medication administration with proper documentation.
• Communicates clinical status to the healthcare team during rounds and shift reports.
• Plans and prioritizes nursing interventions and cares.
• Leads patient groups and participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality and provides patient education.
