Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann's Neuro Intermediate Care unit, a 35-bed unit specializing in Stroke and Neuro care, seeks a Staff Registered Nurse. The RN will deliver care under the Ohio Nurse Practice Act in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

The role supports care coordination, medication administration, and evidence-based practice while ensuring accurate documentation and patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
• Basic computer skills required; prior experience using an EMR for charting preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients.
• Assist providers with patient assessment, exams and treatments.
• Perform basic medical procedures under supervision of a provider.
• Administer medications under the direction of the provider.
• Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Collaborate with care team and supervise other staff as appropriate

Education

Graduate of a school of nursing

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio

Current BLS/CPR

Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred
