Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neurosurgery Acute Care Unit (NACU) in Birmingham, AL. The NACU provides specialized care for neurological conditions and post-surgical patients, with a history of top national rankings and premier stroke care capabilities.

Position involves full-time and part-time PM shifts, 7 p.m.–7 a.m., with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits for eligible roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Current RN license or endorsement by Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process with assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Identify patient needs and coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care for the patient, family and community.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, podiatrist and dentist as part of the health care team.
