Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license as required by the state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience; psych/behavioral or SUD nursing experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various conditions.
• Provide nursing care within standards of nursing practice per state regulations and facility policies.
• Ensure physicians' orders are legible and transcribed properly.
• Monitor patient status and document pertinent information.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status or emergencies.
• Complete admission and discharge processing accurately.
• Maintain therapeutic rapport and professional boundaries with patients.
