Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical Surgical unit in the Weaver Tower at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a full-time night shift position with a sign-on bonus up to $3,750.

Requirements include ASN, RN license, and BLS. BSN preferred. Experience in medical-surgical nursing is desired and the hospital emphasizes patient-centered care and advocacy in a faith-based, not-for-profit system located in downtown Jacksonville.

Qualifications

• ASN is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required (American Heart Association).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Organize and supervise care by supportive personnel.
• Coordinate care with ancillary services and involve patients and families in the plan.
• Educate patients and families about their disease and plan of care.
• Act as patient advocate and care for patients with medical/surgical needs and minor injuries.
