Job summary

mclarenhlth is seeking a registered nurse for the Medical Surgical - 2 South unit to deliver nursing care per hospital policies, nursing process, and standards of practice. The position works nights (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with scheduled biweekly hours of 48.

Requirements include Michigan RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within six months for designated units, and a nursing program graduate; prior experience preferred. The ideal candidate maintains clinical competency, participates in teaching and team

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current State of Michigan RN license.
• BLS certification as Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS required within six months for Critical Care, Emergency, Endoscopy, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Rehab, ICU and Step-Down.
• PALS/NRP/TNCC within specified timeframes for relevant units.

Responsibilities

• Assesses each patient, documents and evaluates response to plan of care, and takes corrective action.
• Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care and provides patient teaching.
• Oversee all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
