Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg/Telemetry unit on the 12 Center at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. The unit cares for adults with pneumonia, COPD, asthma, CHF and tracheostomies in a 34-bed medical telemetry setting with isolation rooms.

We require graduation from an accredited nursing program, Illinois RN licensure, BLS certification, and a minimum of 1 year med/surg experience. Night shifts are available on this schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Requires 1 year minimum med/surg nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead with evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and effective communication to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
