Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit at St. Luke's Medical Center. This full-time night shift position offers 36 hours per week with every third weekend and holiday rotations, and a pay range of $38.20–$57.30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license; multi-state compact or single-state license with privileges in the state(s) served.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with care team to influence outcomes.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and participate in shift-to-shift handoffs.
