Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in Med Surg. The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care for patients.

He/she works within organizational policies and coordinates care with the team. The successful candidate will hold a Georgia RN license (or NLC/eNLC), BLS, and ideally a BSN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• New Graduates eligible.
• Current Georgia RN or NLC/eNLC Multistate License; BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum).
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.

Responsibilities

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Functions within the organization’s policies and procedures and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
• Maintains standards of practice and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
