Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida seeks an experienced registered nurse to join our night-shift team. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

Collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality care and document outcomes in the electronic medical record. The role requires Florida RN licensure, an Associate degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), and 1+ year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• RN required with active license to practice in Florida.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 1+ year in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural and spiritual domains.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans per standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor for adverse events.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Document care activities and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards; participate in performance improvement.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate responsibilities within the healthcare team.
• Engage in professional development and comply with regulatory requirements.
