Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a professional Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Unit - B1. This full-time night-shift position requires 3-12 hour shifts with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays.

The incumbent acts as the primary nurse, coordinating care with other disciplines and applying nursing process per hospital standards. The role involves direct patient care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or associates degree required; BSN preferred
• No experience required
• License: Registered Nurse upon hire
• BLS certification required across nursing roles
• ACLS/PALS/ NRp as listed per unit requirements

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates direct nursing care following the nursing process and hospital standards
• Safely administers prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions
• Organizes and prioritizes care based on patient condition and workload
• Communicates patient needs for safe handoffs during transitions of care
• Documents patient responses and progress in EMR; monitors indicators
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and safety
