Job summary

Carenest Health Services seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Med/Surg and PCU in the Washington, DC area to provide comprehensive care across departments as needed. You will monitor patient status, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active WA RN license, is willing to work through the holiday season with minimal time off, and can communicate clearly with the care team while maintaining accurate documentation

Qualifications

• Requires WA RN license active and in good standing.
• Experience in Med/Surg and PCU; able to flex to departments as needed.
• Strong communication and patient education skills must be demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient education needs and provide education using appropriate modalities.
• Maintain patient safety with preventative measures and equipment safety.
• Operate equipment in PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg areas and troubleshoot as needed.
• Follow infection control procedures and standard precautions at all times.
• Document patient status, nursing interventions and responses accurately.
• Complete physician orders promptly and communicate changes on shift.
• Report critical labs to the physician in a timely manner.
• Restock emergency carts, room and general supplies; perform other duties as assigned.
