Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a registered nurse for a MedSurg/PCU night shift at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. WA or compact RN license required, with 3+ years of recent nursing experience in MedSurg, PCU or Telemetry.

Qualifications

• Active WA license or compact RN license.
• Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience.
• Experience in MedSurg, PCU and Telemetry.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required.
• Night shift eligibility.

Responsibilities

• 25-bed Critical Access Hospital setting.
• Combined MedSurg/PCU unit with telemetry capability.
• Night shift schedule.
• Must be willing to flex between MedSurg, PCU, and Telemetry departments as needed.
• Provide patient and family education using appropriate teaching methods.
• Implement patient safety measures including fall precautions and proper restraint use per policy.
• Demonstrate safe operation and troubleshooting of PCU, Telemetry, and MedSurg equipment.
• Follow infection control and standard precaution protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and physician orders.
• Communicate effectively during shift report and with other departments.
• Report critical lab values to physicians per policy.
• Maintain and restock emergency carts and unit supplies.
• Minimal RTO availability during the upcoming holiday season
