Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a registered nurse to assess patients across physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions and to implement individualized care plans. You will administer medications, educate families, and collaborate closely with the medical team to optimize outcomes.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), current RN licensure, and acute care experience.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
Active RN license in Florida or ability to obtain.
1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly reassess.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
Educate patients and families about health conditions and self-care strategies.
Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
Document patient information and care activities accurately in the medical record.
Evaluate care plans and adjust to improve patient outcomes.
Ensure infection control and safety compliance within the unit.
Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
Supervise and delegate care to team members to ensure quality and efficiency.
