Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare Incorporated is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg, full-time nights. The Level II competent RN delivers total, continuous, patient-centered care using the nursing process, collaborating with the care team to improve outcomes.

You will direct nursing care, participate in discharge planning, communicate plans across teams, and contribute to performance improvement while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN license.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal state.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/family involvement in care and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with the health team.
• Support leadership in standards of excellence and performance improvement.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing unit operations and committees.
