Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a capable Registered Nurse to join the PCU Cardiovascular (GT8) team on a full-time night shift. This designated step-down unit cares for post-surgical patients including cardiothoracic procedures, with emphasis on safe venous access and infusion therapy.

You will lead the unit, mentor staff, and drive quality improvement while ensuring compliance with policies. Requires RN license, ACLS, and bachelor’s degree preferred; 36 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within RN licensure scope.
• Administer and monitor infusion therapies.
• Assess patients to determine venous access methods.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for venous access.
• Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapy.
• Monitor staff performance, give feedback and coaching.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
• Mentor and precept new staff to support professional development.
