Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 9 South Surgical Specialties unit in Nashville. The role covers the night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), full time, three shifts per week, totaling 36 hours.

The unit provides post-operative care for urology, GYN, colorectal, and other surgeries in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 trauma center. Requirements include a nursing degree, RN license (TN or compact) within 60 days of establishing TN address, and at least 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• Nursing degree required.
• State or Compact TN RN license within 60 days of establishing TN address.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care delivery.
• Analyzes information to determine nursing diagnosis and progress toward goals.
• Maintains patient safety and promotes a healthy environment across shifts.
• Communicates with health care team and supports family education as needed.
