Job summary
Bethesda Home of Aberdeen is seeking an RN or LPN to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and facility policies. This role requires relocation to Aberdeen, SD, and entails leadership responsibilities within the nursing department.
Night shifts are available with full or part-time options, including weekend and holiday rotations.
Qualifications
- Direct nursing care to residents
- Supervise day-to-day nursing activities of nursing assistants
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local standards and facility policies
Responsibilities
- Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants
- Ensure nursing personnel comply with facility policies
- Review and revise department policies as needed
- Plan shifts’ services and activities with staff
- Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual
- Provide written and oral reports on shift activities
- Cover administrator absence as needed
- Coordinate with resident services for total care
- Ensure staff adherence to job descriptions
- Contribute to quality assurance and facility surveys
- Review discharge plans and assist in planning discharge services
- Interpret policies to staff, residents, visitors, and agencies
- Maintain resident charge slips and related records
- Complete medical forms, reports, and charting as necessary
