Job summary

Responsibilities

• Responsible during the shift for the total nursing care of residents in the assigned unit.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Transcribes physician orders.
• Charts progress notes reflecting care and resident response.
• Receives/gives report to the relieving nurse and records follow-up actions.
• Maintains resident comfort and safety; observes and reports changes.
• Performs rounds, assists in treatment, and coordinates with therapists.
