Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the night shift to plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process. The role involves assessing patients, coordinating care, and ensuring safe discharge planning within a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate holds Massachusetts RN licensure, a BSN (preferred), and current BLS (ACLS preferred). You will join a compassionate team dedicated to high-quality patient care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and active registration.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS certification preferred if not on unit.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Experience with professional nursing practice and patient care.
• Ability to develop and coordinate patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for care delivery from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessments and reassessments per protocol.
• Develops and coordinates individualized care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the unit.
• Delegates appropriately to team members according to competency.
