Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd/Baxter, Minnesota, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive care on the Medical Unit, caring for neurological, respiratory and general medical patients.

You will lead patient care, delegate to licensed staff, and help advance our mission while meeting Joint Commission standards. Night shift, 0.75 FTE, 60 hours per pay period, rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, every third weekend.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month.

Responsibilities

• Lead Patient Care: Organize and deliver comprehensive care by managing all phases of the patient care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Guide and Delegate: Act as a team leader by delegating care responsibilities to nursing staff based on licensure, training, and role specifications.
• Contribute to a Greater Mission: Play a crucial role in advancing Essentia Health's mission and goals, impacting the community served.
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to Joint Commission and other relevant regulatory/accrediting standards.
