Job summary

Pana Health & Rehab Center in Illinois seeks a Night Shift Charge Nurse (RN) to lead the nursing team overnight. You will oversee resident care, supervise CNAs, administer medications, and ensure safe, compassionate, and compliant care across the night shift.

Requirements include an active Illinois RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and strong leadership and communication skills. Long-term care experience is preferred but not required; we value dedication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Strong leadership and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Long-term care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision during the night shift.
• Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and individualized nursing care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to physicians and the Director of Nursing.
• Supervise and support CNAs and other nursing staff.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Promote resident safety, comfort, and quality of care throughout the shift.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care plans.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and nursing standards.
• Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns professionally and efficiently.
