Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus in Ohio seeks a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings, ensuring safety, quality, and continuity of care.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, documenting in the EHR, and educating patients and families. Ohio RN license and BLS required with ability to obtain within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current, valid RN license in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring for therapeutic and adverse effects in accordance with provider orders and protocols.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, medication regimens, and preventive care strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Advocate for patient needs, preferences, and rights, ensuring culturally competent and ethical care.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and infection control initiatives as assigned.
• Respond to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions within scope of practice and training.
