Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor and Delivery. This part-time night position offers 2 x 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.).

The role focuses on thorough patient assessments, individualized care planning, and collaborative discharge planning in a women’s health setting. A BSN is required, with ADN holders advancing within 5 years, plus CCU/critical care experience and BLS (ACLS/PALS as needed).

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an ADN; must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Critical Care unit or 1 year in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required on start; ACLS/PALS within specified timelines depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Performs thorough patient assessments and interprets data to identify care priorities.
• Develops and implements individualized plans of care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Coordinates care and discharge planning with the healthcare team and resources.
• Advocates for patients’ rights and maintains accurate documentation.
• Serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and preceptor to peers and new staff.
• Engages in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives.
