Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Red Wing, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate nursing care, educate patients and families, and support transitions of care within the Mayo Nursing Care Model.

The role requires a current MN RN license, BLS certification, at least one year of RN experience (Labor & Delivery or Postpartum preferred), and a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based practice with rotating 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience required. Labor & Delivery and/or Postpartum experience preferred.
• Graduate of a registered nursing program.
• RN license with MN license required; BLS for Health Care Providers.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Supports professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care.
• Functions within the Mayo Nursing Care Model to plan, implement, evaluate and communicate all phases of care.
• Provides leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegates patient care according to skill level, patient acuity, and resources.
• Exhibits excellent communication skills and mentoring abilities; may participate on committees or projects.
