Job summary
Northern Nevada Health System's Sierra Medical Center in Nevada seeks a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery to provide safe, competent care during labor and birth. You will monitor mother and fetus, support families, and educate patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
The role requires BLS/ACLS and a Nevada RN license, with a night shift schedule and full benefits for 36 hours per week, in a dynamic maternity unit.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- Current Nevada nursing license.
- Current BLS certificate. NRP, STABLE within 6 mo. of hire
- Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
- ACLS (or obtained within six months of employment).
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
- Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire
Responsibilities
- Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional needs in care assessment.
- Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
- Coordinates the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients; develops goals and discharge plans.
- Educates and collaborates with the care partner to meet physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
