Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery to provide safe, patient-centered care for obstetric patients and newborns. You will lead and collaborate with the healthcare team, applying evidence-based practice and ensuring smooth care transitions.

The ideal candidate has an active Nevada RN license, BLS, ACLS and NRP or STABLE within 6 months, with prior acute care experience and strong communication skills to support families through labor, delivery and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate. NRP, STABLE within 6 mo. of hire
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• ACLS (or obtained within six months of employment).
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
• Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill. Integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients. Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
• Collaborates with the patient's designated care partner to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.
