Job summary

UAB St. Vincent’s, part of UAB Medicine, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care on a Friday and Saturday night schedule in Birmingham. You will implement care plans and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure well-coordinated patient care.

Requirements include BLS and ACLS within specified times and a Alabama RN license. A Diploma in Nursing is required. The role emphasizes discharge planning and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date.
• ACLS certification within 180 days of hire date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed by the Alabama Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care following policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
