Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery/Postpartum unit on a part-time night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The 12 bed unit includes triage and PACU areas, and you will provide comprehensive nursing care following established standards and the facility’s policies.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice and BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year acute care nursing experience; labor/delivery preferred.
• Arizona fingerprint clearance/background check may be required depending on site.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, and discharge needs and document findings.
• Formulate and update a care plan with patient/family and care team input.
• Implement and supervise nursing care per physician orders and unit policy.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust plans as needed; educate patients/families.
• Document care accurately in patient records and ensure timely reporting to the team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to promote safe, effective, and efficient care.
• Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
