Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery on the night shift. The role requires caring for obstetric patients in a Level III Women’s Center with 14 LDR rooms and 24 Antepartum beds, delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Previous acute care experience in obstetric or labor/delivery is preferred.
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
• Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care according to policy and professional standards.
• Implement and coordinate nursing care, delegating when appropriate.
• Document care plans and communicate with the care team to ensure continuity.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care as needed in collaboration with physicians.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
