Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a clinically competent registered nurse for the 4C Medical Intermediate Unit. The role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering nursing care to acutely ill patients in a 26-bed unit with cardiac monitoring and frequent assessments.

Requires a BSN and IL RN license, BLS, and strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. ADN with commitment to BSN within three years is acceptable.

Qualifications

• BSN and Illinois RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities essential.
• Experience in Medical Stepdown or related ER/ED areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect data, develop an individualized plan, coordinate care and evaluate outcomes.
• Direct care delivery and determine appropriate use of any assistants.
• Collaborate with patient, family, physicians and staff; document plan and progress.
• Participate in shared governance, committees and unit projects.
• Document patient responses and adjust plans based on evaluation.
